Pangasius exports experience a slight growth in H1

Vietnamese pangasius exports grew 5.4 per cent in the first half of this year, from the one in the same period in 2015 and generated USD 790.2 million in profits, according to Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters & Producers (VASEP).

VIETNAM - In April 2016, Vietnam's tuna exports valued nearly US$42.5 million, up 2.5 per cent compared to the same period of 2015. The figure in the first four months of this year estimated at over US$141 million, down three per cent from Jan-Apr 2015.

(vasep.com.vn) Vietnam's tuna exports to the US recovered as export value was US$ 43 million, up 12% year on year. Yearly accumulated tuna export value reached over US$ 128 million, down 13%, because the increase in Q3 was not sufficient to make up for the decline at the beginning of the year.
Huge potential for pangasius exports to Canada

(vasep.com.vn) In Canada, among white fish products, Vietnam's pangasius fillet is the most imported and consumed, followed by haddock and cod. Export price of frozen pangasius fillets from Vietnam increased year on year. According to Vietnam General Customs, yearly accumulated pangasius exports to Canada as of 15th September 2014 was US$ 28.9 million, up 4.5% year on year.
